Entry 1-
It had been a hard day. Everyone in my family lost their job, except for me. I still had a job as a maid for a rich woman. But she would soon lose her job too. My mistress`s money had been sucked from her each day. My payment lowed to three coins an hour, and I only work for four hours. That would only be twelve coins! Hardly enough to feed eight hungry mouths. Each night, I`d give up my dinner for my younger siblings or my mother. My father had died long ago, and my mother is now very old, she is weak, and cannot work, so everyone depends on me. Soon, when I save enough money, we will move to California, and hopefully get better work there. I`ll plan and schedule everything too. I just hope we don`t have any more troubles once we get there...
