NEW INTERACTIVE EXHIBIT BRINGS HISTORY ALIVE WITH Joshua’s Journey: A Black Cowboy Rides the Chisholm Trail

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and Scholastic Entertainment have teamed up to bring The Journal of Joshua Loper: A Black Cowboy from Scholastic’s award-winning series My Name is America to life in a national tour of children’s museums. See schedule below.

Focusing on a small slice of American history known as the trail drive era, the Dear America/My Name is America exhibit introduces you to life on the Chisholm Trail through the eyes of Joshua Loper, a 16-year-old black cowboy.

Live this experience first hand through interactive activities like getting the feel of real Western hats, boots, chaps, and bandanas; trying your their hand at roping a calf, exploring the history and lore of cattle brands, preparing dinner at the chuck box, and even a chance to ride a life-sized bucking bronco!

Don't miss your opportunity to experience an extraordinary time in american history!
