A craft inspired by Early Sunday Morning:
The Pearl Harbor Diary of Amber Billows, Hawaii, 1941

Shell Frame

There’s no better way to frame a memory then with a frame you made yourself! This special craft is something Amber Billows might have made for her best friend Kame. On your next trip to the beach, collect all the beautiful little shells that catch your eye and make them into a frame!

MATERIALS:

  • Craft glue
  • Small shells, beach glass, or coral pieces from the beach (or craft store)
  • A plain wooden frame

DIRECTIONS:

Clean all shells with warm soapy water and let them and dry completely. Glue shells around the frame border. Put any cracked and broken shells on first, then glue the prettiest shells on top of these. Continue gluing shells until you have covered the entire border. When it’s all dry, put a picture in the frame and you’re done! Shellsational!
