A craft inspired by Cleopatra VII:
Daughter of the Nile, Egypt, 57 B.C.

Egyptian Collar
Everyone in Ancient Egypt wore some kind of jewelry. Cleopatra's would have been made of gold and silver inlaid with precious gems. Use your imagination to create a fantastic necklace of your own.

MATERIALS:
Brown Paper grocery bag or construction paper, scissors, markers and/or crayons.

DIRECTIONS:
First draw two circles on the paper — one larger circle, and one smaller circle inside the larger one. Keep in mind that the inside circle will need to be big enough to fit around your neck. Before you cut it, design and color it in Egyptian fashion. You can also glue beads, glitter and feathers to it!

Once you're finished, cut out the collar. Then in the back of the collar, cut out a slit in order to wrap it around your neck. Lookout Cleopatra!
