Within the Pages of a Book...
Take students on a reading and writing adventure through the pages of their favorite stories. With the Inkheart writing program, students will explore characters and plots that will help them in writing their own creative narrative.
OBJECTIVE
Lesson 1: What a Character!
Students will learn how character development plays an integral role in story development. If your class has read "Inkheart," cite passages and examples directly from the book.
Lesson 2: Lost in a Good Story
Inspire imaginative exploration by guiding students through a dramatic reading in which the ending is theirs to determine. Students will write their own dramatic dialogues and act out their stories for the class.
