Get Ready to Explore the Great Outdoors!

This educational program is designed to help you meet national standards in language arts and geography. Developed by Scholastic and generously sponsored by Skippy® Peanut Butter and the National Park Foundation, these materials encourage kids to be active, have fun, and discover the wonders of nature.
The dynamic Explore the Great Outdoors map of the U.S. (found under Teacher Resources below) teaches critical geography skills, and encourages kids and families to explore our National Parks. From coast to coast, the National Park system offers hundreds of places where families can explore nature, learn about our nation's culture and history, and get active outdoors.
