Students practice and build sequencing skills as they put together their own comic story.

OBJECTIVE
To build skills in listening comprehension, sequencing, and emergency response.

MATERIALS
Classroom Poster
Meet the Moonie Loonies Student Comic
Comic Story Worksheet

DIRECTIONS

1. Display the Classroom Poster in an easy-to-see location. Then print out the Meet the Moonie Loonies Student Comic and make copies for each student. Together with children, read the comic stories and study the pictures. Identify the fire-safety elements.

2. Pass out copies of the Comic Story Worksheet. Help children cut out the pictures.

3. Have children glue the pictures in the correct sequence.

4. Have children draw their own comic strips about what happens to Sparky® and the Space Dogs on the moon. Tell them to include one fire-safety tip in their drawings.
