Kelcey Flowers lives in Pennsylvania and was born in 1997.

•    Kelcey's favorite school subjects are English and science.

•    She says there are way too many books to choose a favorite, but she really enjoyed The Lightning Thief.

•    She is a green belt in Tan Soo Do karate and a 10-year veteran of dance classes.

•    Kelcey doesn't know what she wants to be when she grows up, but right now she's interested in being a medical researcher, journalist, or English teacher.

"I believe in the power of the press. A reporter's job is to take a subject, understand it, then write about it in a way that is accessible to all. It would be impossible to have an open society without journalists."
