Sydney wants to become either a reporter or a veterinarian when she is older.

In her spare time, Sydney likes to play volleyball and play the guitar. She also enjoys working at her grandparents' market.

As a Scholastic Kid Reporter, Sydney hopes to learn how to interview and talk to people.

She says that she is "excited to learn more about the candidates [of the 2008 presidential election] and share this with students." She feels that students need to learn what kind of a president to vote for when they are old enough.
