Making Decisions by Group: The Jury System
Students will learn the historical development of juries and the changes to the jury system over time.

A History of Conflict Resolution & the Jury System
Students will understand how the ratification of the 7th Amendment influenced the American legal process and how it affects trials today. They will also compare use of juries in the United States to that of other countries.

Participating in the Jury System
Students will understand how juries are selected, and how Constitutional Amendments such as the 14th Amendment influence lawsuits.

Prepare for Trial
Students will learn the process for selecting members of a jury. In addition, they will learn vocabulary relevant to understanding court proceedings.
