About the Author

David A. Adler is the acclaimed author of more than a hundred books, including several picture books illustrated by Terry Widener and published by Gulliver Books/Harcourt, Inc.: America’s Champion Swimmer:Gertrude Ederle (2000), The Babe & I (1999), and Lou Gehrig: The Luckiest Man (1997), an ALA Notable Children’s Book Honor Book for Nonfiction.
