A New Kind of Princess

Kid Reporter interviews Lily Collins, star of Mirror Mirror

By Dani Bergman Chudnow | March 30 , 2012

Do kids in the year 2012 still want to watch fairy tales? Can the classic tale of Snow White hold the interest of kids today?

I found out the answers to those and other questions when I interviewed Lily Collins at the observation deck of the Empire State Building in New York.

Lily Collins is the star of the movie Mirror Mirror, which opens in theaters today. I learned how she breathed life into her version of "Snow" and modernized the fairytale, making it both exciting and intriguing. Collins does not play the old fashion princess who needs to be rescued by a handsome prince. Her version of Snow White is a sword-fighting, quick tumbling, nimble, intelligent princess capable of doing her own fair share of rescuing! She answered my interview questions with her own unique sense of style, pizzazz and confidence much like Snow would.
