From Blossom to Neuroscientist
Dr. Mayim Bialik balances acting with a career as a scientist and teacher
Educators from all over the world came to Chicago for the T3 International Conference sponsored by Texas Instruments. Two thousand teachers attended the conference, which was took place March 2-4.
Although seminars and exhibits were the primary attractions, people were also excited to meet special guest Dr. Mayim Bialik. Dr. Bialik plays Amy Farrah Fowler on The Big Bang Theory, a popular CBS sitcom. She also starred in the hit TV show Blossom, which ran on NBC from 1991-1995. But Dr. Bialik is more than an actor — she has earned a Ph.D. in neuroscience, which is the study of the human brain, and she's a teacher.
I was fortunate enough to interview Dr. Bialik about her unique and fascinating life, both on screen and off. Click Play Video to watch the interview!
