Election 2012: GOP Candidate Buddy Roemer

Republican excluded from debates takes grassroots approach

October 26 , 2011

Buddy Roemer served four terms as a United States Congressman and four years as governor of Louisiana. Today, he is one of 10 Republicans running for President. But unlike his competition, Roemer hasn't been part of any national debates. So he's taken a grassroots approach to his candidacy, talking to people at stops around the country and online to get his message out to voters.

On October 15, Roemer made a campaign stop in New Hampshire. Kid Reporters sat down with Buddy Roemer to talk about his candidacy.

In the first clip, Roemer discusses how campaigns have changed during his time in politics and how Wall Street impacts the lives of Americans.

In the second clip, Roemer explains how he is different from the 10 other candidates — nine from the Republican party and President Barack Obama — running for President.
