DIRECTIONS:
Time Required: 10 minutes
1. Ask students why we share money with others. How does sharing make us feel? What are the benefits to us and to the recipients?
2. Talk about choosing an organization to give to. Why is it important to research the organization first? Discuss ways students can find out about an organization's mission, goals, and history, such as researching the organization online and talking with other people who support it.
3. Have students complete the "Sharing With Others" printable. Discuss students' responses to the activity and their ideas for helping their friends, family, and community. Use these bonus printables to help students further develop their money smarts.
