Explore the meaning of courage with

What is courage?
How do characters, real and fictional, demonstrate courage?

Summary:
In this lesson, students will read a Scope article and consider a quotation and video clips relating to courage; they will use these resources to reflect on what it means to have courage.

Main objectives:
• to develop a nuanced understanding of the word courage
• to make connections across media types
• to participate in class and small-group discussions
• to write a reflective essay

Materials:
