Great Organizations Doing Work in Haiti

Scholastic/Save the Children Education Recovery Fund is focusing on the long-term education needs of children in Haiti, including rebuilding education infrastructure and providing critical educational materials.

The American Red Cross in Haiti is focusing on homes, cash grants and loans, business investment, clean drinking water, disaster-preparedness programs, medical and health facilities, emergency shelters, latrines, and supplies for the hurricane season.

William J. Clinton Foundation focuses on communal hurricane emergency shelters, emergency relief, portable classrooms, agricultural supplies, solar-powered streetlights, and clothing.

CARE USA focuses on transitional shelter, job programs, water supply with a current focus on treating the cholera outbreak, hygiene, and women and girls.

Partners in Health focuses on public health and health-education systems.
