After a long car ride, I finally arrived at the Ziegfeld Theatre in New York City for the red carpet world premiere of The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2. I was early, and the only people there were other reporters and photographers. When no one was looking, I knelt down and touched the red carpet. I couldn't believe I was actually there!

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, the cast started to arrive. I was so happy and a little nervous, but I was ready to start reporting.

The photographers were screaming and yelling at the stars, "Look over here!" They were really loud! Luckily, I didn't have to yell. As each celebrity arrived, they made their way down the red carpet and almost all stopped to talk to me. I spoke with America Ferrera (Carmen), Amber Tamblyn (Tibby), Alexis Bledel (Lena), Michael Rady (Kostos), Jesse Williams (Leo), Leonardo Nam (Brian McBrian), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Professor Nasrin), Cory Nichols (Nicky), Carly Rose Sonenclar (Kathryn), director Sanaa Hamri, and author of the books, Ann Brashares.

Friendship, the theme of the movie, also seemed to be the theme of the red carpet. Members from the cast of Ugly Betty and Gossip Girl were there to support their friends America Ferrera and Blake Lively.

When I talked to Amber Tamblyn, I asked her about her real-life friendships.

"I brought six of my best friends from Los Angeles. I flew them here because they wanted to come to the premiere so bad," Amber said. "They were such fans of the film, so I brought them here and got them a hotel room, and we hung out and got ready together. It was really fun!"

Then I asked if she was anything like her character in the movie. "I'm kind of funny. I'm a little funny. Alright I'm really funny. I'm super super funny," Amber said. I laughed. I think she's really funny and a good friend.

Next, America Ferrera came down the red carpet. She looked beautiful in a blue dress. I asked America if it was harder being in Ugly Betty or in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies. She explained that neither of them was hard. "They're both so much fun because I love the girls in Sisterhood, and we have so much fun, and I love my cast in Betty," America said.

I also got to speak to some of the male stars of the film. This was the first movie for Jessie Williams, who plays Leo. He told me this was his first movie premiere, his first time on the red carpet, and that I was one of his first interviews. I told him it was my first time on the red carpet too!

Before I knew it, all the celebrities had gone inside the theatre. It was time to watch the movie! As I was leaving the theatre, I saw Ann Brashares, the author of the books on which the movies are based. I had met her earlier on the red carpet. She saw me and gave me a wave and a smile. It was the perfect ending to a great experience!

    My All Time Top 5

    My All Time Top 5

It's come to our attention that tween girls have opinions. Lots of them. My All - Time Top 5 is a unique opportunity to inmortalize those opinions in list form: lists of favorites, un - favorites, pet peeves, proudest achievements, weirdest phobias, secret crushes, wildest ambitions, and much more.

The book features 60 pages of list ideas, games, and activities ranging from thought - provoking to just plain goofy. it's divided into five sections (Me & My Deep Thoughts, Boys & Other Animals, etc.), each with a different illustrator. Turns out that making list lends lends itself equally well to quiet contemplation or group giggles, depending on the day's mood.

A custom - designed, 150 - page, coil bound notepad and coordinating pencil make creating lists pretty near irresistible. Since we understand that sometimes opinions change, the cute little charm that dangles from the pencil is actually an eraser. And, inside the book, special bound - in pocket pages wil store finished lists for all eternity. All of which makes Top 5 a blast for today, a keepsake for tomorrow, and a one - of - a - kind record of an opinionated life.
