Announcing the Middle School Winners of the Lexus Environmental Challenge!
Lexus and Scholastic are pleased to announce the winners of the 2007-2008 Lexus Environmental Challenge!
With amazing presentations, in-person and online networking and more, the winning teams of the Lexus Environmental Challenge tackled issues that ranged from global warming awareness to informing their communities about the critical importance of water conservation.
For their extraordinary displays of environmental activism, the students, teachers, and schools of the Grand Prize-winning teams will be awarded $75,000, while the First Place teams will receive $50,000! See the slideshows below detailing the teams' success.

Earth Warriors - Illinois
The Earth Warriors team wants everyone to be aware of global warming and the ways to stop it! The team raised enough money to make a donation to the Rainforest Network. Find out more!
Radon Awareness Group - Utah
The Radon Awareness Group created a campaign to inform their community about the dangers of radon. The team enouraged their community to take action by mailing out radon test kit coupons. Find out more!
The Tree Huggers - Utah
The Tree Huggers want you to flip the switch and do your part to help reduce emissions that lead to air pollution! The team reached thirteen different states through their efforts. Find out more!
St. Margaret Science Club - Louisiana
The St. Margaret Science Club created a recycling campaign and pledge campaign. Their efforts were recognized by their national senator, state senator, mayor and the National Energy Education Development organization. Find out more!
