PLANO, Texas (February 9, 2008) – Ford Motor Company and its dealers are recognizing today six young Texas high school football stars at Texas Stadium as the Built Ford Tough Players of the Year for the 2007 Season. This award honors one student-athlete in six of the state’s athletic classifications for his accomplishments on and off the field.

Throughout the 2007 regular season, 60 student athletes were recognized as the Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Week in these same six classifications. The prestigious prize was launched in 2006 to celebrate the best young players in Texas and is endorsed by Ford Motor Company, the manufacturer of the F-150, the best selling truck for 31 years.
