Q: What is it like to do this show based on your music?
Nat: It’s like my wildest dream come true. I wanted to be a rock star and I wanted to be an actor. I wanted to be Paul McCartney and James Stewart.

Q:
How did you get into the Beatles?
Nat: My mom and dad had the albums and I picked up such excitement from them. They inspired me and made me so excited to write music. Rubber Soul is my favorite, but I love the Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road albums too.

Q:
Are there any contemporary bands that you like?
Nat: I love the album that James Blunt put out. My brother is a fanatic about punk rock, rap and all that stuff. I’m old school.

Q: Are you prepared for fame?
Nat:
I guess so. I have no idea. Every day there’s a new thing that hits me about it. It’s amazing.

Q: How do you balance work with school?
Nat: I go to regular school every day, but I have a set tutor when we tape the show.

Q: What are your best subjects besides music?
Nat: Basketball! I’m a big basketball player.

Q: Do you and your brother, Alex, really get along?
Nat: Yeah, most of the time. But we get into fights. We’re like regular brothers.

Q: What do you fight about?
Nat: Stupid stuff.

Q: What, like who has the video game controller?
Nat: Exactly!

Q:
What video games do you play?
Nat: I’m not a huge video game guy, but I love all the basketball games, like “NBA Live.” On the set, we either play basketball or video games. The fourth floor is called the kids’ area, where we have the dressing rooms, a basketball hoop, a TV, and a lot of video games.

Q:
What else do you like to do in your free time?
Nat: Whenever I have free time, I write a song.

Q: How old were you when you wrote your first song?
Nat: Four or five. It was something like “Mommy and Daddy Falling off a Tree”

Q: Where do you get inspiration for the lyrics?
Nat: It comes from real feelings that I have, but nothing is ever direct. It’s very abstract, not like “Today I went to the store…"

Q: What do you like to read?
Nat: I love to read novels. Louis Sachar is probably my favorite author. He wrote Holes. The book was even better than the movie.

Q: Do you have any interest in writing stories as well as music?
Nat: After music and acting, my favorite thing is writing.

Q: Is it easy or hard to work with your brother?
Nat: It’s easy and hard; easy because we know each other so well.
Alex: Yeah, but hard because we annoy each other so much!
