Get a free One for Books collection tub!Loose Change Adds Up to More Books

What’s better than one good deed? How about two? That’s the spirit behind One for Books. The loose change your school collects at the Book Fair helps provide more books for the school library, classroom libraries, or students who may not otherwise be able to shop. Teachers win, librarians and media specialists win, and most of all, book-hungry students win. Good so far, right? It gets better.

Each year, Scholastic matches donations from your school and others across the country with up to 1 million books donated to non-profit organizations – Kids in Distressed Situations, the National Center for Family Literacy, and Toys for Tots.

And starting now, we’re giving your One for Books collections a boost. A free collection tub will arrive with your Fair in its own box. Place it near your register, and watch the change flow. The loose change you collect will quickly add up, and everyone, including your students, will feel good about helping connect kids and teachers with more great books. Plus, the tub is yours to keep for future Fairs.

More information is available in your spring Planning Kit and your Chairperson's Toolkit.
