Hosanna Christian Academy didn’t have to pull any teeth when it came to their All for Books campaign—they just had to pull lollipops. And, boy did they ever!
A small PreK through 12 program with only 500 students, the school is nestled in the heart of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. First-time Book Fair chairperson Anna Marchiafava had just been hired only two weeks prior and loved the idea of the lollipop pull she had seen demonstrated at her region’s Book Fair workshop. Apparently, the kids loved it, too!
She ran the campaign the week before the Book Fair in the hopes of generating donations to stock the shelves of their brand new library. Within the first day of the Fair, Anna had already run out of lollipops and had to restock!
In the end, they sold 3,300 lollipops for 25 cents each, raising a whopping $837, which they used to buy much-needed books for their school.
