Knowing how to read is just the beginning. Motivating children to keep reading so that they strengthen their ability to think creatively is the end goal. To help meet the needs of developing readers, we all have a shared responsibility.
Let’s set the example by:
Making time to model good reading behaviors
Talking about good books you’ve read and recommend
Participating in Book Fair activities and making time for “family time” at an important school event
Volunteering to help plan and conduct your local Book Fair
