Celebrate Diversity
Kiwanis Creates Havens for Families
Reading Oases - designated reading areas within schools where children and their families can gather - have become a haven among Title 1 students, many of whom lack access to books. Scholastic Book Fairs® and Kiwanis International partner to create family reading rooms as a community service.
Giving Kids Books
The Power of Just 1 Book
Four years ago, a book-loving Florida girl launched a nonprofit that has since put more than 200,000 books into the hands of needy children. And to think it all started with a single book drive.
Be Inspired
Book Fair Superstars
White Rock Elementary School students - 85 to 90 percent of whom are on free or reduced lunch - went from having no Book Fair for five years to scoring $12 in books each through a high-charged All for Books™ drive, thanks to a retired teacher and her Rotarian husband.
