Now is the perfect time to warm up to the idea of spring. A spring workshop, that is! Attending a spring workshop can energize and inspire you to plan a successful Book Fair Luau reading celebration!
Workshops prove beneficial to new chairpeople and veterans alike. Michele Janney, a first-time Book Fair chairperson at Cherrington Elementary School in Westerville, Ohio, "started out being a bit uncertain but evolved into a Book Fair Chair Extraordinaire," according to Book Fair field representative Kie Seiple, after Michele attended a workshop that gave her "a head full of ideas."

| Students Read 3 Million Minutes, Help Break Record |
Brooksville Elementary School students were the top readers in the Scholastic Book Fairs Read for the World Record Challenge, logging three million reading minutes from April 27 through August 31 and out-reading the second-place finisher by more than 712,313 minutes.
In the past, Brooksville Elementary had offered kids a variety of inducements - parties, movies, coupons, disposable cameras, and food - to entice them into reading more. But nothing seemed to work until the school decided to participate in Scholastic's summer reading program. Keep Reading >>
