Introduction
A Scholastic Book Fair is a special event that enables parents
and children to purchase quality books at reasonable prices, helping
their school raise funds for special projects, classroom materials,
and library books. Fairs are conducted at preschool, elementary,
and middle schools, under the direction of the librarian, media
specialist, or PTA/PTO chairperson.

The Book Fair comes complete in easy-to-move bookcases organized
by reading level. There are seasonal and timely table assortments,
table signs, displays, table covers, and a planning kit box full
of promotional materials.
Why host a Book Fair?
The primary motivation for schools to have Book Fairs is to make
quality books available to their students and stimulate interest
in reading. It's also an incredible way to raise funds to purchase
books, supplies, and equipment. Scholastic Book Fairs offers generous
reward programs like our Instructional Resources
Profit Option, which allows schools to exchange profit for double
the dollar amount in books or other products. Learn more about the
variety of profit options.
What does it cost?
There is no out-of-pocket expense to conduct a Scholastic Book Fair.
Your Fair is delivered free to your school by our Drivers, and picked
up again when it's over. You'll complete a financial form at the
end of your Fair and return it to Scholastic.
It's that simple!
What kind of support will I receive?
Every member of our team works for you, from the Field Representatives
and Sales Consultants to the Warehouse Team, Product Coordinators,
and Drivers. Your Sales Consultant will happily chart your course,
help you through the process, and follow up after the event. You'll
relish all the in-depth advice you'll receive at the Book Fair
Workshop from knowledgeable field representatives.
Plus, you'll receive the Scholastic Book Fairs Chairperson's Planning
Kit full of free materials. Contact
your local Scholastic Book Fairs representative for more information.
How are books selected for the Fair?
Once a year, a group of 15 company experts gather to select the
books that will be featured in each season's Book Fairs. Learn more

books.
What makes a successful Book Fair?
