Scholastic Student Exchange —
Classroom Wish List

Scholastic Student Exchange Why a Classroom Wish List program? It pumps life into classroom libraries and promotes interest in reading, with the added benefit of boosting your Book Fair sales. Plus, it's easy. Simply:

  1. Set up a display with the materials we provide.
  2. Invite teachers to a special preview to select books.
  3. Encourage customers to purchase and donate books.
Materials Needed Directions for Creating a Display Board
  1. Copy Book Donation Cards (PDF Form 139KB) and Gift Certificates onto different colored paper for different grade levels. Trim and set aside Book Donation Cards (PDF Form 139KB) (10 for each teacher) until your Teacher Preview event.
  2. Attach Classroom Wish List Display Sticker (PDF 65KB) to the top center of your display board, bulletin board, or background of your choice.
  3. Follow the folding instructions on card pockets and attach to science project display board, bulletin board, or background of your choice. Note: Need more card pockets? Use #10 business envelopes, seal them, cut then in half, and tape them to the display board.
  4. Write grade levels and teachers' names on card pockets. Remember to include media specialists, music, art, and gym teachers. Place a few blank Gift Certificates in each card pocket. Note: Place a few blank Gift Certificates in each card pocket.
  5. Case Numbers To help customers locate books within the Fair, label cases and shelves (PDF 92KB) with location numbers and letters onto colored paper. Cut out and tape to cases. For example, place Case 1 on a case, and Shelf A, B, C, D, etc., on corresponding shelves.
