Principal Hits the Campaign Trail

The Principal is the Chief Executive Officer of your school — a hero to students, a champion of education to the community. The more involved your Principal is in promoting your Fair, the more students and their parents see it as an important event.

The Principal can show support by declaring a Read, White, and Blue — Reading is All American celebration the week of your Fair:
  • The week kicks off with a public proclamation (RTF) over the PA system delivered by the Principal.
  • The Principal can make "campaign" visits to the media center or classrooms. These visits can be straight-forward messages about the importance of reading, for conducting a Booktalk, or to have fun with a costume or contest.
  • Ask the Principal to be the first signer of the Reading Declaration.
  • The Principal can encourage Students to dress in patriotic colors:
    • Monday — red
    • Tuesday — white
    • Wednesday — blue
    • Book Fair Day — touches of red, white, and blue
  • Make your Principal proud with an All Star Auto.
