Undercover Cookies

Materials:
Tape
Cookie cutters
Wax paper or plastic wrap
Lollipop sticks
Food coloring
Ingredients:
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
¾ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tbl vanilla extract
30 lollipop sticks
Frosting:
1 stick butter
3 cups confectioners' sugar
1 tsp vanilla
3 tbl milk
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl; set aside. Cream butter and sugar with electric mixer in a large bowl. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
Gradually add flour mixture to the creamed mixture. Form two large balls with the dough and flatten into disks. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least 2 hours.
Roll out dough between 2 pieces of wax paper or plastic wrap until it's ¼ thick. Remove plastic wrap on top and use a wide glass to make 3 ½" wide magnifying glass, and a cookie cutter to make dog bones.
Insert lollipop sticks in the center of each magnifying glass cookie. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely. Place lollipop stick next to one already inserted in magnifying glass cookie and wrap black tape around both sticks.
To make frosting, cream butter and confectioners' sugar. Add vanilla extract and milk. Add food coloring and decorate cookies. Makes about 15 cookies.
