Official Rules

Prize:
Winners will have their winning phrase designed into a Deep Ink sticker and featured as part of the Deep Ink sticker collection for Middle School Book Fairs. Winning stickers will credit individual who submitted idea by listing the name, city and state of the entrant. Winners will receive 100 copies of the final sticker design.

Eligibility:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Contest open to all ages.

How to Enter:
Use the Official Entry Form (PDF Form 72K) or send in your sticker idea on notebook paper, along with your full name, address, age and phone number to:

Send in as many ideas as you like. Entries received by June 1, 2006 will be judged for the 2006 contest #2. Entries received after June 1, 2006 will be judged for the 2007 contests. By entering, entrants agree to abide by all contest rules, represent that their entry is an original idea and grant Scholastic the right to edit, publish, promote, sell and otherwise use the entry without further notice or compensation. All entries, including rights, therein of winning entries become the property of Scholastic Book Fairs, Inc, and will not be returned. Void in Puerto Rico and where otherwise prohibited by law.

Winner Selection:
Entries will be evaluated and winners selected based on the following criteria:

Originality and creativity of phrase; appeal of phrase based on cleverness, humor, wit and appropriateness for middle school audience. Entries containing offensive, sexual or inappropriate themes and/or language will not be considered.

Judges will be Scholastic Book Fair marketing professionals. Up to 10 entries may be named winners in the contest, however, Scholastic reserves the right not to name any winners should judges determine all entries fail to meet judges’ criteria. In addition, Scholastic may terminate the contest for any reason, at any time, without notice. All 2006 contest #2 winners, if any, will be notified by mail or telephone by August 1, 2006. All 2007 contest #1 winners, if any, will be notified by mail or telephone by April 1, 2007. All winners, and their parents or legal guardian if under 18, will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release Form.

General:
By accepting the prize, each winner grants Scholastic the right use his or her name, likeness, hometown, biographical information and entry for purposes of advertising, promotion, revenue generation, including on the Scholastic Web site, www.scholastic.com, without further notice or compensation, except where prohibited by law. All entrants, as a condition of entry, agree to release Scholastic Book Fairs, Inc, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and agents from any and all liability or damages of any kind sustained through participation in this contest and/or use of a prize once accepted. Scholastic is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, misdirected, damaged, mutilated, postage due, incomplete or ineligible entries or mail.

Winners List: A list of winners will be available on September 1, 2006 for 2006 contests and May 1, 2007 for 2007 contest #1. For a complete list of winners, send a self addressed stamped envelope by October 1, 2007 to:
