The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2009!

The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers invites creative teenagers to submit their best works of visual art and writing to The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2009! Each year more than 100,000 works of art and writing are submitted to the regional programs of The Awards, including works made this past spring and this summer 2008.

Updated guidelines and deadlines will be available on October 1, 2008, but it's not too early to think about preparing new works for submission. To qualify, students must be entering grades 7 - 12 this fall. Artwork and writing created this past spring semester and this summer at home, in summer school, and summer arts programs may be eligible for submission to The Awards for this upcoming school year. Students graduating from high school in 2009 are highly encouraged to begin organizing a portfolio of eight works for scholarship consideration. The Alliance wishes you the best in preparing for the upcoming school year. If you would like to request a reminder email about the launch of The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in October, email us a&wgeneralinfo@scholastic.com.
