Australia, Canada, New Zealand and United Kingdom

Long-established operations in Canada, the United Kingdom , New Zealand and Australia have original trade and educational publishing programs and distribute children's books, software and other materials through school-based book clubs, school-based book fairs and trade. These operations also offer direct-to-home continuity programs and online services as well as distribute magazines. In addition, they have export and foreign rights licensing programs and are licensees of book tie-ins. Scholastic books published in Canada, the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Australia have received numerous awards of excellence in children's literature.

Latin America

In Mexico, and Argentina, Scholastic distributes both English and Spanish-language children's books and educational materials through school-based book clubs and book fairs.

In Puerto Rico, Caribe Grolier distributes Spanish-language encyclopedias and reference books through its direct-to-consumer sales force.

Southeast Asia

In Southeast Asia, Scholastic publishes and distributes reference products and provides services primarily under the Grolier name. Headquartered in Hong Kong, Scholastic Asia operates Grolier Asia Pacific, which through its network of distributors and a dedicated sales staff, brings its vast range of encyclopedias, reference sets, children's books and educational materials directly to consumers in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. In addition, Scholastic Asia operates school-based book clubs and book fairs in India, book clubs and continuity programs in Malaysia and book fairs in the Philippines. Scholastic India also publishes award-winning English and Hindi titles.

Scholastic Asia also manages export sales of original Scholastic imprints, educational materials, technology-based products, and English Language Teaching (ELT) materials to other countries in Asia including China, Japan and Korea.


Europe, Middle East and Africa

The International Sales Force, headquartered in New York, handles export sales to Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which includes original Scholastic imprints, educational materials and technology-based products and English Language Teaching (ELT) materials, and the Scholastic My Arabic Library, a unique educational project developed by Scholastic to encourage a love of reading and learning in children across the Arabic-speaking world, and fill a well-documented need for high-quality Arabic-language classroom titles with great appeal to children.

International Rights

Scholastic licenses the foreign-language rights for Scholastic titles in more than 40 languages to other publishing companies around the globe, bringing beloved books to children in their own language. For more information, click here.
