SCHOLASTIC UK APPOINTS KATE WILSON, NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR


New York, NY (July 15, 2004) -- Scholastic announced today the appointment of veteran publishing executive, Kate Wilson as Group Managing Director of Scholastic UK effective September 1st. Kate is currently Managing Director of Macmillan Children's Books where she engineered significant success during her tenure.
 
Ms. Wilson has also worked at Faber, was Rights Director at Reed Children's Books (now Egmont), and has run Macmillan's children's publishing for the last ten years, driving their growth and profits. She has built a reputation as one of the most dynamic and forward-looking people in the children's publishing industry. Kate has a first class honours degree from Oxford University and is a guest lecturer at Cranfield Business School.
