New York, NY (January 31, 2003) -- Scholastic.com, a leading web site for K-8 teachers, families and children, has been inducted into District Administration Magazine’s Hall of Fame, the most prestigious honor given as part of its 2003 Curriculum Web Site Awards. Scholastic.com has been recognized as the most comprehensive and quality web site for its educational content and activities, teacher and parent resources, and vast selection of learning-based products available at The Scholastic Store Online and The Teacher Store Online. The recognition marks the fourth year that Scholastic.com has been a winner of District Administration’s Curriculum Web Site Awards.

The Annual Curriculum Web Site Awards were created by District Administration Magazine to recognize the best educational web sites. The awards focus on sites that offer K-12 online curriculum materials in every subject area, spotlighting those exhibiting the highest quality of content, instructional design, interaction with learners, and creative and effective use of online technologies. The Hall of Fame category was established in 2002 to recognize superior achievement among these web sites. The 2003 Curriculum Awards will be officially announced in the February issue of District Administration.

“Scholastic has a long standing history of providing high-quality, educational resources that meet the ever changing needs of schools and families. We are honored that District Administration has recognized Scholastic.com as a valuable, comprehensive online resource for learning and development, and has acknowledged this success by inducting the site into its Hall of Fame,” said Donna Iucolano, President, Scholastic Internet Group.
