2008 Summer Internship Program
Thank you for your interest in Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books and a leader in educational technology. Open to current college students, our Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of Scholastic businesses.

General Information
- The application process for the 2008 Summer Intern Program is now CLOSED. Thank you to all who have applied for our 2008 Summer Program. Please check back in December 2008 for information regarding our 2009 Summer Intern Program.
- The program runs for 9 weeks, beginning Monday, June 9, 2008, and ending Friday, August 8, 2008
- Internships are available in New York City; Secaucus, NJ; and Danbury, CT
- Interns are paid $11 per hour and work a 35-hour week
- Housing and travel expenses are the responsibility of the intern
Requirements
- Candidates must be entering their junior or senior year in an accredited college or art school,
- Be in good academic standing,
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Have excellent computer skills with MS Office, and
- Be able to work a 35 hour week.
Selection of Interns
- Interns are selected on the basis of their academic standing, essay, original art/design or writing samples, participation in extracurricular activities, and previous work and/or internship experience.
- Interns may be interviewed by telephone or at a Scholastic office. References may be requested.
- Students accepted as summer interns will be notified by May 16, 2008.
