About The Summer Internship Program

Our Summer Internship Program is open to college students entering their junior and senior years. The program provides an opportunity to gain experience in a variety of Scholastic businesses. (Note: Select opportunities may be provided to graduating seniors.)

General Information:

  • The application deadline is May.14th, 2010
  • The program will run for 8 weeks beginning Monday, June.14th, 2010 through Friday, August.6th, 2010
  • Interns are paid $12.00 per hour and work a 35 hour week
*Housing and Travel Expenses are the responsibility of the intern.

Requirements:

  • Qualified candidates should be entering their junior or senior year of an accredited college or art school (with some opportunities available for graduating seniors)
  • All students must be in good academic standing and have strong computer skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work a 35 hour week

Selection of Interns:

  • Interns are selected on the basis of their academic standing, participation in extracurricular activities, and previous work and/or internship experience.
  • Interns may be interviewed by telephone or at a Scholastic office. References may be requested.
