The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is run by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, Inc. a not-for-profit organization that supports young artists and writers. Each year, the Awards provide the opportunity for more than 250,000 teenagers in grades 7-12 to earn regional and national honors. Graduating high school seniors who submit portfolios of their work have the opportunity to compete for more than $1.5 million in scholarships from colleges and universities across the country.

For entry information, please visit www.artandwriting.org or call the Alliance at 212-343-6892.

National Bilingual Educator of the Year Award

In recognition of the efforts that bilingual classroom teachers make on behalf of English language learners, Scholastic is proud to sponsor The National Bilingual Teacher of the Year Award, presented annually at the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE) conference. NABE and its affiliate organizations select the award-winning bilingual teacher based on his/her philosophy of education, professional development, and community service.

Early Childhood Professional Awards

Scholastic Parent & Child® and Scholastic Early Childhood Today™ magazines, in conjunction with National Childcare Professionals Day, launched the Scholastic Early Childhood Professional Awards in 1998. Today the awards remain the top national program to recognize early childhood professionals.
