The Scholastic Book Grants Program is an in-kind giving initiative that provides high-quality reading materials to children in need. The Company's goal is to ensure that each of its book donations has a significant impact on fostering literacy.
Each year the company donates books to organizations large and small.
To help in the recovery efforts with support for the educators, families and students who have suffered losses in the hardest-hit areas of the tri-state region, Scholastic is accepting book grant requests and will provide new books to get tens of thousands of students reading and learning again. Scholastic is working in partnership with Kids in Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.) to distribute the book donations.
Eligibility Requirements:
Schools and libraries in the tri-state region suffering significant damage from Hurricane Sandy are eligible.
Organizations must be able to pick-up their donations from an assigned K.I.D.S. warehouse in their area.
A variety of pick-up dates will be made available and organizations will be notified of these dates after receiving approval of their applications.
Note: One donation per school or library. Please coordinate with your organization’s staff before submitting your application.
